Sierra Alexander is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern. Sierra holds Master of Science and Education Specialist degrees in Counseling and Human Services from Florida State University, along with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in gender studies from the University of Florida.

 

Sierra has been with Family Resources, Inc. since May 2019, and is experienced and skilled with a variety of populations and areas of concern. Her primary populations of interest include queer (LGBTQ+) identified folks, relationship issues, family-of-origin traumas, and those seeking to build self-esteem.

 

Sierra’s warmth, empathy, and genuine curiosity are the foundations of her clinical approach, along with her feminist-informed, eclectic counseling framework. Sierra is inclusive and affirming of all sexual and gender identities and is passionate about creating a safe space for individuals to come and begin working on their growth.

 

Sierra is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), Society for Sexual, Affectional, Intersex, and Gender Expansive Identities (SAIGE), Florida Counseling Association (FCA), and Florida Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Issues in Counseling (FALGBTIC).

Sierra provides therapy via telehealth (video chat) only.
