Sierra Alexander is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern. She graduated from Florida State University in 2020 with Master of Science and Education Specialist degrees in Counseling and Human Services. Sierra also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in gender studies from the University of Florida. Sierra has experience with a variety of populations and areas of concern including but not limited to anxiety, depression, relationship issues, LGBTQ+ interests, and crisis work. Starting off at FSU’s Victim Advocate Program, Sierra gained valuable experience and knowledge for working with survivors of sexual abuse and other crimes. She has been with Family Resources, Inc. since May 2019, providing counseling to individuals and couples with a variety of concerns. Sierra’s warmth, empathy, and true curiosity allow for individuals to feel heard and supported. Sierra is inclusive and affirming of all sexual and gender identities and is passionate about creating a safe space for individuals to come and begin working on their growth.
Sierra is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), Society for Sexual, Affectional, Intersex, and Gender Expansive Identities (SAIGE), Florida Counseling Association (FCA), and Florida Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Issues in Counseling (FALGBTIC).
Sierra provides therapy via telehealth (video chat) only.
